Table of techniques used in 50 cinematic visualizations We analyzed the style of 50 cinematic visualizations using the features of mise-en-scène, cinematography, editing, and sound. We identified techniques across each of these dimensions of style, including (A) in-situ narrators, (B) anthropocentric perspective, (C) resolution of scale, and (D) author-guided, user-paced cameras. Note that the use of techniques related to editing and sound varied greatly between cinematic visualizations embedded in online articles and those presented as videos.
